The PantherDining Hall is seeking to hire an experienced Customer Service Specialist II. This position will provide support to the dining halls at Georgia State University. The Customer Services Specialist II provides excellent customer service, maintains outstanding solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and acknowledges customers.
  • Accurately and efficiently utilizes POS systems and maintains all cash and media at the registers.
  • Communicates customer requests to management.
  • Maintains awareness of menu items.
  • Counts and reconciles funds during shifts to ensure adequate funds.
  • Restocks assigned supplies and brochures.
  • Records patron counts.
  • Maintains neat appearance at the registers and in the front of house area.
  • Keeps beverage machines, napkins holders, silverware, plates, bowls, and cups filled and maintained.
  • Helps keep tables and service areas clean.
  • Attentive to guest needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of customer service, administrative or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Able to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
