About the position
As a Customer Service Specialist II at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting the New York State Department of Health Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) program. This position involves providing assistance to Medicaid providers through telephone and internet communications, resolving routine issues, and responding to inquiries. Your contributions will help ensure effective customer service and support for the Medicaid claims process.
Responsibilities
- Takes and processes transactions by telephone, internet, and correspondence from customers and representatives.
- Enters and maintains database records of customer profiles and prepares and maintains status reports.
- Acts as a liaison for customers.
- Maintains knowledge of company products and customer service processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of customer service experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong telephone and verbal communication skills.
- Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
