About the position

The Customer Service Specialist (Order Processor) at TEKsystems is responsible for managing customer order requirements through various communication channels, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This entry-level position involves processing orders, monitoring pricing adherence, and maintaining effective communication with customers and sales representatives to resolve any issues related to product availability and shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill and manage customer order requirements through direct and indirect contact.
  • Process orders from customers via phone, EDI, email, and fax.
  • Review orders for availability and communicate product availability and delivery dates to customers.
  • Monitor orders for adherence to correct pricing and proactively resolve issues before invoicing.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers and sales representatives.
  • Coordinate service requirements with shipping departments and public warehouses for accurate order processing.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of customer service representative and order processing experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • 1-5 years of experience working with ERP systems on a daily basis (JD Edwards experience preferred).
  • Ability to handle confidential customer, legal, and company information.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionately focused on continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
