About the position

The Customer Service Specialist at McKesson is responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and coordinating various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. This role involves interfacing with customers before and after sales, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position is hybrid, requiring the candidate to be within a 50-mile radius of the La Vergne, TN office, and includes a structured training program to support new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with their product orders, answering questions and providing prompt resolution to any potential concerns.
  • Answer incoming customer calls, key orders into the computer system, review orders with customers to ensure accuracy, and respond to general inquiries relating to pricing, invoicing, product availability, shipping status, and buying history.
  • Research customer inquiries using MPB systems and expedite requests to the appropriate supporting teams for resolution.
  • Handle customer complaints, interview customers to understand issues, research complaints, and interact with other McKesson departments to resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed and accurate customer account history notes in the internal CRM system by entering incidents and related notes continuously.
  • Assist customers with processing online order requests and facilitate inquiries related to online ordering issues to the appropriate contacts for resolution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in customer service.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency with the entire MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Excellent communication skills and a high sense of urgency in managing competing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of plasma products desired.
