About the position

The City of Bothell is seeking a part-time Customer Service Specialist who is outgoing and customer-service oriented. This role involves providing assistance and information to visitors, answering phone calls, and performing various clerical and administrative tasks. The position also requires attending night meetings as a recording secretary for boards or commissions, fostering strong partnerships within the community, and ensuring effective communication across diverse channels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service, information, and assistance to visitors and others doing business with the City.
  • Answer main city hall phone lines and direct calls to appropriate departments.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, basic accounting, invoice processing, document preparation and review, and file maintenance.
  • Attend night meetings (approximately 3 times a month) as a recording secretary to a board or commission.
