About the position

The Customer Service Specialist at Chromalox is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and final products from suppliers to retailers and customers. This role involves handling customer orders, shipping logistics, and associated administrative functions, while also providing solutions to customer inquiries and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates credit on orders.
  • Participates in resolution of credit problems and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintains sales records and provides appropriate information for finance.
  • Communicates with carrier operations and handles freight parties, ensuring that the shipper and consignee are aware of any challenges or issues that may occur.
  • Prepares documentation for foreign shipments.
  • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency in all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of customer service or related experience required.
  • GED or High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Proven working experience with effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proven working experience in freight, exports, and billing is a plus, not mandatory.
  • Proficient working experience with a computer and/or Microsoft Suite.
  • Comfortability with organizational skills and prioritizing workload.
