About the position
The Customer Service Specialist at Mount Horeb Telephone Company (MHTC) is responsible for providing exceptional billing and customer support to residential and small business customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, educating them about the company's products and services, and promoting sales. The position requires a motivated individual who can effectively communicate complex information and provide solutions to customer inquiries, contributing to the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide billing and customer support to residential and small business customers.
- Educate customers on company products, services, and packages.
- Promote and sell company products and services positively.
- Perform assigned duties while ensuring quality customer service to both external and internal customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years' experience in a customer service or sales role in a professional office setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a desire to enhance customer experience.
- Calm demeanor with the ability to empathize with customers.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with computers, Wi-Fi, and technology preferred.
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.
