About the position

The Customer Service Supervisor at Performance Foodservice is responsible for overseeing a team that assists customers with order entries and inquiries. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving complex issues while maintaining efficient staffing levels. The supervisor will also train new customer service representatives and ensure professional communication with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
  • Coordinates and oversees the input of customer orders, credits, and invoicing, ensuring accuracy; backs up as needed.
  • Assists customer service representatives with difficult or complex customer orders and problems, vendors, and department interactions.
  • Provides informative and professional assistance when working with the public, customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Leads and trains new customer service representatives; facilitates and/or schedules training and Customer Service meetings.
  • Develops spreadsheet reports as requested by management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in customer service or related area in foodservice setting.
  • Experience managing 5+ people.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates/2-year technical degree in Business or related area.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in Customer service or sales within foodservice industry.
  • Supervisory experience.
