The Customer Service Technician plays a critical role in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials in residential settings. Requirements

  • Cultivate and support positive professional relationships with business partners and homeowners.
  • Previous work experience with flooring products and builder superintendents preferred.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of different flooring materiel and installation techniques, carpet, tile, and LVP.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Stay updated with industry standards and safety regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Tools to be familiar with: wet saw, angle grinder, power stretcher, knee kicker, tape measure, hammer , rubber mallet, chop saw, electric staple gun, straight edge
  • Familiar concepts: thin set/ grout applications, carpet installation, trowels, appropriate glue selections/applications

Responsibilities

  • Assist Field Team Service
  • Complete assigned service tickets as scheduled
  • Examine scope of repair and complete an inspection report with details gathered.
  • Complete services and repairs on a variety of floor coverings.
  • Complete production paperwork and write-ups to document the repair provided.
  • Communication on adjustments needed on the jobsite.
  • Quality Aid in monitoring job quality while completing services.
  • Address quality concerns and report issues to Warranty Management team.
  • Job Readiness Ensure materials are available to complete tasks, including but not limited to screws, caulk, stock materiel, saw, drill, batteries, and tools.
  • Transition installations/replacement, minor tile replacement/ installation, grout touchups/ maintenance, caulking, cut/tuck/stretch/seam carpet, patch linoleum, hard surface plank replacement/repair.
