The Center Representative role focuses on providing empathetic customer service to individuals affected by natural disasters. This position involves handling inbound and outbound calls, offering immediate assistance, emotional support, and guidance through available relief services and resources. The representative must demonstrate patience and understanding while addressing the unique challenges faced by callers in distress.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from individuals affected by natural disasters, providing immediate assistance with empathy and compassion.
  • Listen attentively to customers' needs and demonstrate a deep understanding of their challenges.
  • Guide customers through available relief services, programs, and resources they may be eligible for.
  • Assess each caller's unique situation to provide relevant solutions or referrals to relief agencies or shelters.
  • Remain calm and focused when dealing with customers in distress, using active listening and de-escalation techniques.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to connect with individuals facing extreme hardship and offer emotional support.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in high-stress situations.
  • Strong customer-first mentality with experience in providing timely solutions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet at home for remote work.
  • Comfort using web-based tools and Microsoft Teams for communication and operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours within a shift range from 6:30 AM EST to 1:00 AM EST.
