About the position
The Customer Site Warehouse Support role at Fastenal is a part-time entry-level position focused on facilitating the movement of products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Employees will engage in various tasks that support the distribution center's operations while adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operating computer programs and wireless hand held devices
- Moving and handling product accurately
- Auditing and preparing outgoing shipments to customer facilities
- Maintaining the cleanliness/organization of work area
- Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
- Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
- Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
Requirements
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
- Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
Nice-to-haves
- Possess a current full valid driver's license
- Prior warehouse experience
- Prior experience operating a forklift
