About the position

The Customer Solutions Engineer role within gTech Ads at Google focuses on providing technical consulting and innovative solutions to enhance the advertising experience for clients. This position involves collaborating with sales teams and customers to address business challenges, develop prototypes, and leverage Google's technology to deliver effective advertising solutions. The role is integral to ensuring clients maximize their investment in Google products through tailored support and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting services and guidance around Google APIs and Cloud platforms to help clients develop cutting-edge applications across products.
  • Work closely with customers to understand underlying business challenges.
  • Cultivate relationships with the Sales team and customers, then leverage these relationships to identify and develop innovative technical solutions that lead to more advertising business.
  • Propose, design, create and present prototypes, demos and proofs-of-concept to a wide variety of audiences, from Engineers to Marketing professionals.
  • Leverage Google's Cloud infrastructure and big data analytics systems to achieve your goals.
  • Work across Sales, Support, and Product teams to provide innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience in the online advertising industry.
  • Experience with big data platforms and large volume data analytics.
  • Experience working in a client-facing role.
  • Scripting experience with Shell and SQL.
