About the position

As a Customer Success Associate at Datadog, you will be responsible for training customers, driving product adoption, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing retention. This role focuses on ensuring a positive customer experience while advocating for customers internally and collaborating with various teams. You will follow a defined methodology to assess customer needs and assist them in leveraging Datadog's solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify opportunities to expand small customers existing Datadog footprint
  • Successfully execute full sales cycle for identified upsell opportunities with concentrated book of customers
  • Troubleshoot on issues to ensure a positive customer experience and continued product adoption
  • Proactively work with customers to find expansion opportunities and increase loyalty and retention
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Datadog teams (support, product, finance, and legal)
  • Act as advisor to customers to ensure they're leveraging the solution effectively

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in negotiating contract terms and overcoming pricing objections for upsell/cross-sell activities
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong time management skills and confidence in a high volume, high velocity role

  • Passion for technology and a desire to grow in customer success
  • Experience in sales or customer success roles
