About the position

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every customer becomes a reference for OneStream, aligning with the company's mission statement of making every customer a success. The CSM is responsible for managing the day-to-day customer success activities, which include overseeing the onboarding process, maintaining proactive engagement, and driving customer retention. This position requires a deep understanding of the customers' desired business outcomes and the ability to maximize the value they receive from their investment in OneStream's platform. The CSM will serve as the primary advocate for customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are managed effectively. In this role, the CSM will manage a portfolio of customers primarily located in Texas, with a preference for candidates based in Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. The CSM will partner with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition for new customers and will take ownership of driving customer adoption, satisfaction, and renewal. This includes understanding the customers' contractual agreements, managing the onboarding process, and establishing strong relationships with both the customers and their delivery teams. The CSM will also conduct regular business review meetings to assess progress and identify any risks that may threaten customer satisfaction or growth. The CSM is expected to develop a comprehensive knowledge of OneStream's platform and solutions, sharing this knowledge with customers to enhance their experience. Additionally, the CSM will promote awareness of regional OneStream communities and educational events, keeping management informed of any progress or obstacles encountered within their portfolio of customers. This role is essential in fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring that customers derive maximum value from their relationship with OneStream.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers in the Texas Region.
  • Partner with sales to complete a comprehensive sales transition process.
  • Operate as a business partner to customers and their delivery teams by understanding their strategy and plans.
  • Take primary ownership and accountability for driving customer adoption, expansion, satisfaction, and renewal.
  • Understand customers' OneStream contractual agreements and their agreements with delivery teams.
  • Manage and execute the customer's onboarding process.
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers and their delivery teams.
  • Establish and execute cadence-based Business Review meetings with customers.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that threaten customer satisfaction, growth, or renewal.
  • Align with Customer Success leadership on regional metrics.
  • Develop and grow knowledge of OneStream's Platform and MarketPlace Solutions and share that knowledge with customers.
  • Promote awareness of Regional OneStream Communities and customer educational events.
  • Keep management informed of progress and obstacles on the customer portfolio.

Requirements

  • 2+ years as a Customer Success Manager for a SaaS company.
  • 3+ years building and managing customer relationships.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Proven history of keeping customers focused on their desired business outcomes throughout their initiatives.
  • Conceptual understanding of finance processes: Financial Close, Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer Success Manager within a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Software vendor.
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology / MIS.
  • Customer and account management experience.
  • Management consulting/technology consulting experience.
  • CPM experience (as a CSM, consultant, or corporate employee).
  • Prior experience with CPM systems such as OneStream, Oracle's EPM suite, Anaplan, SAP Outlooksoft BPC, IBM Cognos, or other CPM solutions.
