About the position

As a Customer Success Manager at Planet, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business sales within the Unattended Space, which includes sectors such as Parking Operators, Integrators, Hospitals, Airports, and Municipalities. This position is focused on building strong relationships with decision-makers in these areas to secure new customers for our core suite of products and services across North America. You will work closely with the National Sales Director for North America and collaborate with various teams including Business Development Managers (BDMs), Account Managers, Sales Support, Marketing, and Operations to effectively sell our gateway and acquiring solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting market and prospect research to identify potential partners within the Unattended Space, creating new relationships, and driving these relationships to ensure partners are integrated and operational with Planet. You will also coordinate the integration process in collaboration with Project Management and provide initial business training to partner business areas. Supporting marketing and sales efforts to increase revenue and generating synergy with local teams during the initial launch will be crucial. In addition, you will be responsible for building an annual Sales Development plan, maintaining a pipeline of business opportunities, and achieving quarterly and annual new business sales targets. You will maximize revenue opportunities and ensure accurate completion of sales documentation, including quotations, proposals, and tenders. Leading the creation and delivery of new business presentations to customers and contributing to the broader sales team will also be key aspects of your role. Overall, you will work professionally and constructively to promote the company and carry out any additional duties deemed necessary by management.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete sales documentation including quotations, proposals, and tenders.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of new business presentations to customers.
  • Contribute to the broader sales team and promote ideas to assist colleagues.
  • Work professionally and constructively to promote the company.
  • Carry out additional duties as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required (preferably in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Automation, Technology).
  • Experience in new business sales, preferably within the parking/unattended or wider payments industry.
  • Experience selling to retail operations and understanding of retail technology.
  • Knowledge of current sales techniques, developing a sales pipeline, and creating a sales development plan.
  • Proven track record of delivering against new business targets.
  • Knowledge of Card Acquiring, DCC, retail payment solutions, or Retail EPOS systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with card scheme rules, regulations, and processing processes is advantageous.
