About the position

The Customer Success Specialist (CSS) role at Cisco is a strategic advisor and technical expert responsible for engaging with customers to enhance their adoption of Cisco products and solutions. This position is part of the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization and focuses on driving business outcomes through effective customer engagement and technical expertise. CSSs are expected to deliver consultative solutions, manage customer relationships, and provide feedback for product improvements, ensuring customers realize value from their investments in Cisco technology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted consultative sessions and interactive technical presentations to increase product awareness and drive software adoption.
  • Utilize deep technical knowledge and business acumen to provide consultative solutions for successful customer engagements.
  • Identify and mitigate renewal risks associated with low technical adoption to ensure successful product integration.
  • Collaborate with Account teams, Customer Success, and Partners to enhance customer adoption and address product concerns.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Management Teams for product improvements and promote the CX offer strategy.
  • Guide customers on deployment decisions and long-term business outcomes, developing onboarding and adoption journeys.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of technical experience with expert-level knowledge of Cisco's Catalyst Center, Campus Network, Routing & Switching, and SDWAN products.
  • 2+ years of experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, along with knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) including leveraging APIs and programmability.
  • Certifications: CCNP or CCDP, and DevNet Associate are required.
  • BS or higher in Engineering is required.
  • Experience in delivering consultative sessions and interactive technical presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred knowledge in Cisco Spaces, ThousandEyes, Cloud Security, Meraki or Splunk.
  • Experience conducting product and solution demos to drive product adoption.
  • Certifications: CCIE, CCDE, TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solution Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent strongly preferred.
