About the position

The Customer Success Specialist (CSS) role at Cisco is a strategic advisor and technical expert responsible for engaging with customers to enhance their adoption of Cisco products and solutions. This position is part of the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization and focuses on delivering targeted engagements that increase product awareness, share best practices, and drive business value. CSSs leverage their technical knowledge and business acumen to provide consultative solutions, ensuring successful customer engagements and helping customers realize value faster.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted consultative sessions and interactive technical presentations to increase product awareness and drive software adoption.
  • Utilize deep technical knowledge and business acumen to provide consultative solutions and ensure successful customer engagements.
  • Identify and mitigate renewal risks associated with low technical adoption to ensure successful product integration.
  • Collaborate with Account teams, Customer Success, and Partners to enhance customer adoption and address product concerns.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Management Teams for product improvements and promote the CX offer strategy.
  • Guide customers on deployment decisions and long-term business outcomes, developing onboarding and adoption journeys.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of experience with expert-level knowledge of protocols/services such as MPLS, BGP, and VPN.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience engaging with key customers and applying industry best practices to drive successful outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco's NCS 5xx, ASR 9000, NCS 5500, and Cisco 8000 product suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply deep understanding of relevant Cisco products to solve customer business challenges.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in automation, including leveraging APIs and programmability to orchestrate workflows.
  • Knowledge of public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Suggested certifications: DevNet, CCNA, CCNP, or CCDP required; CCIE, CISM, CISSP preferred.
