About the position

The Customer Success Specialist (CSS) role is a strategic advisor and technical expert within the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization. This position focuses on engaging with customers to enhance their adoption of Cisco products and solutions, ultimately driving business outcomes. CSSs leverage their deep technical knowledge and business acumen to provide consultative solutions, ensuring successful customer engagements and accelerating value realization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted consultative sessions and interactive technical presentations to increase product awareness and drive software adoption.
  • Utilize deep technical knowledge and automation skills to provide consultative solutions for successful customer engagements.
  • Identify and mitigate renewal risks associated with low technical adoption to ensure successful product integration.
  • Collaborate with Account teams, Customer Success, and Partners to enhance customer adoption and address product concerns.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Management Teams for product improvements and promote the CX offer strategy.
  • Guide customers on deployment decisions and long-term business outcomes, developing onboarding and adoption journeys.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of experience with expert-level knowledge of advanced networking protocols and services.
  • Deep technical knowledge of L2 Advanced Services, MPLS, BGP, and related technologies.
  • Proven ability to engage with key customers and apply industry best practices to drive successful outcomes.
  • Experience delivering consultative sessions and technical presentations, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Strong understanding of Cisco's NCS 5xx, ASR 9000, NCS 5500, and Cisco 8000 product suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Expertise in automation and leveraging APIs for workflow orchestration.
  • Suggested certifications: DevNet, CCNA, CCNP, or CCDP; CCIE, CISM, CISSP preferred.
