About the position

The Customer Support Representative (Outside Sales) at Darr Equipment Co. is responsible for increasing revenues in the Parts, Service, and Rental Departments by providing exceptional customer service. This role involves collaborating with equipment sales representatives to manage customer accounts effectively and ensure customer satisfaction, thereby retaining existing accounts and generating new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenues in the Parts, Service, and Rental Departments through customer support.
• Align with equipment sales reps to manage customer relationships effectively.
• Conduct B2B sales of PM Service Agreements, Repair Maintenance, Parts, and Rental.
• Plan and strategize territory and account management.
• Support sales efforts to increase TM&R sales.
• Execute new equipment/warranty delivery reports.
• Provide customer service support for existing accounts, including quote preparation and proposals.
• Schedule follow-up meetings with top customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Promote and sell short-term rental equipment.
• Generate leads for new and used equipment and Warehouse Solutions.
• Sell Operator Training classes.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities with a strong desire to satisfy customers.
• Ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Proven history of conflict resolution.
• Positive attitude and high level of computer literacy, especially with Excel and database software.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Diplomacy skills to handle obstacles professionally.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in outside sales or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with equipment rental and service agreements.
