This position is designed to support both Darr Equipment and 54 equipment/solution sales representatives, ensuring that customers receive top-notch service and have no reason to seek alternatives for their material handling needs. The CSR is tasked with maintaining a strong relationship with equipment sales and operations, which is essential for success in this role. The motto of the position is "Add Techs & Rent Trucks," emphasizing the importance of selling preventive maintenance (PM) services and rental trucks to enhance service and parts revenue while expanding the market presence of Darr Equipment's brands. The CSR will engage in post-sale teamwork with equipment sales representatives, focusing on B2B sales of PM Service Agreements, Repair Maintenance, Parts, and Rental services. Responsibilities include territory and account management, collaborating with sales to boost TM&R sales, executing new equipment and warranty delivery reports, and providing customer service support to existing clients. This includes preparing quotes, proposals, and strategies, as well as conducting scheduled follow-up meetings with the top 30% of clients. Additionally, the CSR will promote and sell short-term rental equipment, generate leads for new and used equipment, and offer Operator Training classes. To excel in this role, the CSR must possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a positive attitude. The position requires a high level of computer literacy, particularly with Excel and database software, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. The CSR must also demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, and a commitment to advocating for Darr Equipment at all times. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are essential, as the job involves significant travel and access to various job sites, often in challenging terrains.

Responsibilities

  • Increase revenues in the Parts, Service, and Rental Departments by providing best-in-class customer service.
  • Align with equipment/solution sales reps to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Support equipment sales in acquiring new accounts and selling equipment solutions and services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with equipment sales and operations teams.
  • Sell preventive maintenance (PM) Service Agreements, Repair Maintenance, Parts, and Rental services.
  • Manage territory and accounts strategically to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales to enhance TM&R sales efforts.
  • Execute new equipment and warranty delivery reports.
  • Provide customer service support for existing clients, including quote preparation and proposals.
  • Conduct scheduled follow-up meetings with the top 30% of clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

  • Proven history of conflict resolution and ability to show empathy in difficult situations.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly with Excel and database software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Diplomacy skills to handle obstacles professionally when interacting with customers and vendors.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
