About the position

The Customer Support Representative at Stella-Jones Railway Ties will play a crucial role in supporting the inside sales team by processing orders, quotes, bids, and contracts. This position is essential for ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and coordination with production plants and sales managers. The role is office-based in Pittsburgh with potential for hybrid work after training.

Responsibilities

  • Enter quotes and orders into the ERP system
  • Provide quotes and assist Regional Sales Managers
  • Work closely with customers to answer inquiries
  • Help coordinate shipments with Plants and Transportation Department
  • Update orders with revised delivery dates
  • Conduct weekly order status meetings with assigned manufacturing plants
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Work experience in a customer service or inside sales support role required
  • Two or more years of experience working with B2B or industrial customers preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) required
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude with exceptional attention to detail

Nice-to-haves

  • French or Spanish language skills a plus
