About the position

The Customer Support Specialist is a part-time role focused on maintaining consumer records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations. The position involves various administrative tasks, including document management, data entry, and assisting the public and staff with records requests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain consumer records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality rules.
  • Compile and check documents for accuracy.
  • Transport documents and maintain files.
  • Answer inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Assist the public and staff in filling out forms for records requests.
  • File and maintain supplies, forms, and records.
  • Perform data entry and retrieval as needed.
  • Deliver, pick up, or receive documents, supplies, mail, equipment, or materials.
  • Check for quantity and quality of received items.
  • Make arrangements for repairs and services.

Requirements

  • Good typing skills required.
  • Good spelling skills required.
  • Some experience in medical records is preferred.
  • Bookkeeping skills preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Must have a Texas driver's license.
  • Must have a good driving record for the past 3 years.
