About the position

The Customer Support Specialist at Brin Glass Company is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling incoming calls, processing orders, and addressing customer inquiries. This role is crucial in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring accurate order entry in the ERP system. The position offers opportunities for professional development and advancement within a supportive employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls from customers to provide quotes, place orders, and answer customer questions.
  • Enter quotes and orders in the ERP system, providing acknowledgments and delivery dates.
  • Ensure all information including costs, sale price, delivery dates, and products are entered correctly on order transactions.
  • Troubleshoot problems for customers and process customer complaints.
  • Process RGAs for returning products and prepare credits.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Assist with challenging customer requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience in customer service and order entry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical/math skills, particularly in Mathematics and Geometry.
  • Ability to consistently process transactions accurately and prioritize among competing tasks.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in delivering customer-focused solutions based on customer needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • College graduate with relevant experience in customer service and order entry.
  • Experience in order entry process via a formal ERP system.
