About the position

We are seeking a skilled Aspen Customization Developer to join our team. This position involves collaborating with Aspen customers to gather requirements, document specifications, and develop custom reports, imports, exports, and other functionalities tailored to their needs. As a key liaison between our Implementation team and clients, you will play a crucial role in understanding customer requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and delivering high-quality deliverables within specified timelines. In this role, you will engage with customers to understand their requirements for custom reports, imports, exports, and other Aspen functionalities. You will document customer requirements thoroughly and accurately, ensuring that all specifications are clear and comprehensive. Additionally, you will develop acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that the final deliverables meet customer expectations. Your responsibilities will also include creating custom reports, imports, exports, and other Aspen customizations using the Java programming language. You will provide deliverables to customers for feedback and iterate based on their input, ensuring that the final product aligns with their needs. Estimating project timelines and work efforts will be essential, as you will need to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines. Collaboration with internal teams will be necessary to ensure seamless integration of custom solutions, and maintaining clear and concise communication with customers throughout the development lifecycle will be a key aspect of your role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clear and concise communication with customers throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience with estimating work efforts and managing project timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, JasperSoft iReport, CSS, HTML, and XML is a plus.
• Prior experience in a developer/analyst role preferred.
