About the position

The position at Marian Regional Medical Center involves providing comprehensive nursing care for the cardiovascular (CV) program, focusing on advanced assessment and procedures. The role emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring appropriate therapy decisions and program development in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The incumbent will also be responsible for performance improvement initiatives, data management, and maintaining high-quality standards in cardiovascular services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care across the continuum of care services for the CV program.
  • Formulate a multidisciplinary team approach to offer therapies and provide assessments.
  • Design and implement services and activities for the new program in collaboration with physicians and team members.
  • Perform duties in compliance with performance improvement plans and regulatory agencies.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and report necessary data for cardiovascular performance improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Provide CV nursing expertise while collaborating with medical and nursing staff.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement related to the CV patient population.
  • Collaborate with and provide leadership for Emergency, Cardiac Cath Lab, Telemetry, and Critical Care areas.
  • Assist in planning, development, and implementation of program goals and operations.
  • Report to Local CVSL leadership regarding clinical, operational, and quality performance.
  • Participate in strategic and budgetary planning for SRC/Chest Pain Center initiatives.
  • Manage cardiovascular registries including Cath PCI, STS, TVT.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year in an administrative clinical role developing and improving cardiology management programs.
  • Successful completion of a training program conforming to California BRN standards.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Specialty certification such as CCRN, RCIS, RCES preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer/data programs experience/skills.
