About the position

The Invasive Radiology Specialist at Atlantic Health System is responsible for preparing patients and assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements. This role integrates with medical staff to ensure patient comfort and safety while monitoring vital signs and managing equipment during procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares procedure room for cardiac catheterization and interventions, ensuring all necessary equipment is present.
  • Prepares and drapes patients for procedures, addressing their concerns and ensuring comfort.
  • Enters patient, procedure, and equipment details into the system.
  • Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedures, including ECG and blood pressure.
  • Retrieves imaging and pertinent data for physician interpretation.
  • Balances, calibrates, and records hemodynamic data, intervening in emergencies as needed.
  • Operates equipment reliably and complies with safety guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Professional Certification.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Cardiology Support services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in health science or related field.
  • RCIS certification preferred.
