The CV Technologist II at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular and vascular procedures under the guidance of a cardiologist or vascular surgeon. This position requires a high level of technical skill and independent judgment, as the technologist performs a variety of complex procedures that involve the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The CV Technologist II is responsible for loading TAVR valves, scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during TAVR cases, as well as handling other structural heart procedures such as PFO/ASD closures and mitral clips. Additionally, the role encompasses advanced vascular cases, including peripheral and EVAR procedures, and may involve advanced electrophysiology roles. The technologist is expected to demonstrate leadership by training and educating team members to enhance their skills and adapt to new technologies. In this full-time position, the CV Technologist II will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an on-call rotation. The role requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards, including the use of PPE and aseptic techniques. The technologist will verify orders, communicate effectively with physicians, and ensure timely patient throughput while maintaining accurate medical records. Participation in quality improvement activities is essential, as is the ability to perform various procedural roles (monitor, scrub, circulate) effectively in both therapeutic cardiovascular and electrophysiology settings. The CV Technologist II is also responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring proper documentation of procedures, and adhering to hospital policies and standards.
