About The Position

The Test Engineer III position at Jabil involves leading and managing a team of Test Engineers I & II in a server manufacturing environment. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining test procedures and hardware/software for electronic circuit board production. The engineer will utilize failure analysis techniques to troubleshoot and resolve issues, optimize test processes, and ensure product quality through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. This position requires working 12-hour shifts and may involve occasional overtime based on business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Five to ten years of relevant experience in electronics/hardware manufacturing.
• Expertise with Linux and Linux Shell, capable of training others.
• Intermediate understanding of Bash and Python programming.
• Strong understanding of computer/server hardware concepts and functionality.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with electronic circuit board production processes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and interview Test Engineers I & II.
• Coach Test Engineers in the interviewing/hiring process.
• Monitor team member turnover and identify areas for improvement.
• Create and validate training curriculum for team development.
• Establish measurable goals and objectives for team performance.
• Solicit feedback on team member contributions and provide coaching.
• Coordinate activities of large teams during crises.
• Communicate effectively with the department and encourage input from team members.
• Define and implement Test Engineering strategies aligned with campus goals.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities by streamlining processes.
• Manage the engineering test function for standard and custom devices.
• Compile and document data for performance analysis and recommendations.
• Assist in the development of special test equipment and software programs.
• Provide training and support for new product testing procedures.
• Act as a liaison for assigned customers and explore new testing technologies.
