About the position

The CWTAP Administrator at the University of Washington serves as the primary programmatic and fiscal administrator for the Child Welfare Advancement Training Program (CWTAP) across multiple campuses. This role involves overseeing the integration of BASW and MSW programs, managing a $12.5 million budget, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines, and supporting the training of over 300 social work students. The administrator will work closely with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families and academic directors to ensure effective program delivery and fiscal management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the fiscal and programmatic integration of BASW and MSW CWTAP programs across three campuses.
  • Plan and submit annual budget requests to the State of WA Department of Children, Youth and Families.
  • Prepare and manage UW Seattle's annual functional budget process.
  • Provide operational expertise through data analysis for decision support across the tri-campus partnership.
  • Manage compliance with CWTAP agreements for over 300 students across the State of WA.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and other leadership.
  • Facilitate the development of the annual budget and operating plan for the CWTAP program.
  • Hire, train, and supervise fiscal staff (2 FTE) who will work with students on funding needs.
  • Establish accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration or a related field.
  • Four years of experience in a University financial setting with an emphasis on budget, operational, and fiscal management.
  • Skilled in creating and using complex MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Access queries.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and accounting data and communicate clearly.
  • Experience with Title IVe funding terminology and laws.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in public administration or related field.
  • Complex administrative leadership experience in higher education.
  • Familiarity with working within a research university environment.
