About the position

The CX Data Analyst, Payroll Operations at Gusto is responsible for leading and building comprehensive data solutions for the Payroll Operations teams. This role focuses on ensuring the success of the Payroll Operations teams by delivering critical data on efficiency, volumes, resolution timelines, and operational metrics. The analyst will recommend and prioritize analytics projects, communicate insights across the organization, and support the overall strategy to improve customer experience and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build end-to-end data solutions for Payroll Operations teams.
• Deliver data on team efficiency, volumes, resolution timelines, and core operational metrics.
• Recommend, prioritize, and deliver key analytics projects with stakeholders.
• Communicate operational insights broadly across the CX organization.
• Identify key metrics and create automated dashboards to monitor business health.
• Provide quantitative insights and perform analytical deep dives to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis with a proven track record of deriving actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of payroll operations data and processes.
• Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Excellent communication skills to deliver findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
• Adept at complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking, and decision making.
• Highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
