About the position

Anakim Consulting is seeking a CyberArk Engineer, Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support the Information Technology Service Desk and Engineering Support program for a federal government customer contract. This position requires a full background investigation prior to starting and the ability to obtain a Federal Government Public Trust Clearance. The role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside within the DC metro area, as some onsite work may be required at a government facility in Washington, DC, or at a data center in Ashburn, VA. The CyberArk Engineer will be responsible for managing, implementing, and maintaining Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Management solutions using CyberArk to meet business requirements. This includes developing relationships across the business to understand requirements, applying technical knowledge to solve business problems, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The engineer will design and develop solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or CyberArk concerns, and will be involved in performance systems management and integration functions. The role requires expertise in performing discovery and analysis, architecture design, solution design, and planning solution implementations while applying best practices to mature CyberArk capabilities. Responsibilities also include installation and configuration of CyberArk platform components, supporting enterprise onboarding, credential discovery, and analysis, as well as maintaining product security and audit findings. The engineer will also be responsible for user acceptance testing of privilege accounts and validation testing of integrated solutions. Candidates must have a strong background in CyberArk and related technologies, with a minimum of 7 years of related technical experience, including at least 4 years of experience implementing and administering CyberArk in an enterprise environment. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the capability to provide technical leadership to junior engineers. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and strategic thinker, with a proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and communicate technical issues professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, implement, and maintain Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Management solutions using CyberArk.
  • Develop relationships across the business to understand requirements and apply technical knowledge to solve business problems.
  • Design and develop solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or CyberArk concerns.
  • Perform discovery and analysis, architecture design, solution design, and plan solution implementations.
  • Install and configure required CyberArk platform components, including supporting enterprise onboarding and credential discovery.
  • Support upgrades of CyberArk, including maintenance, patch identification, and publication.
  • Maintain responsibility for product security and audit findings, privilege user incident management support, and user acceptance testing of privilege accounts.
  • Identify requirements, design, document, and implement technical solutions for scalable and resilient network architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related technical experience with a minimum of 4 years' experience implementing and administering CyberArk in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with designing CyberArk architecture and configuration to meet SOW scope and IAM requirements.
  • Ability to perform installation and configuration of CyberArk platform components.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Active Directory (AD), and Windows PowerShell.
  • Proven ability to work closely with customer's network and operations team to resolve issues or security concerns of tools/services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presence that enable effective engagement with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to Junior Engineers on tasks and projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with programming languages and APIs such as Java, BeanShell, Python, REST, JSON, and SOAP.
  • Experience with integrating PAM solutions like Splunk and/or IAM tools like SailPoint.
  • Experience with other PRIV solutions (CA-PAM, Centrify, Oracle Identity Management, Microsoft Identity Management).
  • Cloud Platform experience (AWS, Azure).
