About the position

The Cyber Compliance Officer at GDIT will support the Guard Enterprise Cyber Operations Support (GECOS) program by ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations and guidance. This role involves performing security services, providing Risk Management Framework (RMF) support, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the cybersecurity posture of the Army National Guard (ARNG) across multiple states and territories. The position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and senior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance through performing security services in accordance with DoD and Army cybersecurity guidance.
  • Provide RMF support to 54 supported organizations, including training and briefings.
  • Manage multiple states simultaneously and report progress to the Program Information System Security Manager (P-ISSM).
  • Assist in the execution of RMF Steps 0 - 3, 5 & 6, including guidance on system categorization and security control implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise security requirements and compliance with Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS).
  • Conduct cybersecurity inspections, tests, assessments, and reviews in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of the organization's structure and workflow within eMASS.
  • Support the identification and dissemination of approved policy and process documentation for system authorization efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or computer science, with RMF experience required.
  • Must have customer service experience and the ability to engage with senior military and government leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ITIL best practices framework for IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance requirements for DoD and Army directives.
