About the position

The position is for a System Engineer with Scrum Master experience at Lockheed Martin, focusing on database administration and cybersecurity. Responsibilities

  • Perform Database Administration (DBA) activities such as monitoring storage and database performance.
  • Ensure standby DataGuard databases are functioning properly with minimal lag time.
  • Develop strategies to migrate data between environments.
  • Identify and resolve database performance issues.
  • Support the database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities.
  • Translate a set of requirements and data into usable database schemas.
  • Create and update data models using PowerDesigner.
  • Assist in developing database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development.
  • Direct the development of complex systems using queries, tables, Open-Database Connectivity and database storage and retrieval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
  • Experience with Oracle, Linux, SQL, and Scripting.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN backups, Oracle Enterprise Monitoring (OEM), Oracle ZFS storage appliance.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Relational database design tools such as Power Designer.
