The Cyber Defense Design Architect, Senior role at Booz Allen involves designing and developing secure systems for the military, specifically for the Department of Defense. Responsibilities

  • Develop and build cybersecurity solutions for military systems.
  • Identify the right mix of tools and techniques to meet client needs.
  • Investigate new techniques and move away from legacy models.
  • Provide alternatives and customize solutions for network design.
  • Integrate secure practices like DevSecOps and zero trust architecture into projects.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution.
  • Experience leading and implementing enterprise architecture on large-scale projects.
  • Experience with computer networking concepts and network security methodologies.
  • Experience defining security requirements using standards like DFIA and zero trust.
  • Ability to interface with clients and lead tasks from inception to completion.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • DoD 8140 Certification, including CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading meetings and developing presentations for senior leaders.
  • Experience analyzing technical and policy documentation for DoD organizations.
  • Knowledge of DoD enterprise and tactical networks.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, IT, cloud architecture, and virtualization.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and implement updated security controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, or CS.
  • CEH, CISA, or CISSP Certification.
