About the position
The Cyber DevSecOps Engineer position at ManTech is a fully remote role focused on supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) in enhancing cyberspace operations and safeguarding national security interests. The engineer will leverage DevSecOps practices to develop and execute capabilities for Cyber Network Operations (CNO), ensuring compliance with DoD standards and implementing advanced technologies in cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide DevSecOps expertise in support of the LevelUP Software Factory for Cyber Network Operations (CNO) capability development and mission execution
- Follow processes compliant with the published DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design
- Implement CI/CD pipeline technology stacks across multiple security classifications
- Implement IaC and CaC technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, AWS Cloud Formation, and others
- Deploy a variety of Kubernetes-based DevSecOps platforms for unclassified and classified environments
- Enhance the cybersecurity and code security process of the CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps platform
- Utilize hardened containers from Iron Bank or similar repository
- Develop automated processes for the container accreditation process in modern programming languages
- Continuously work with the customer to improve processes and timeliness for Enterprise DevSecOps deployments
- Stay knowledgeable in emerging cloud-based DevSecOps technologies and trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or greater certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible
Nice-to-haves
- Kubernetes certification
- Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) certification
- Expertise in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, React, Node.js, Go
- Experience with database and data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Hadoop, Cloudera, Prometheus, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Experience with source control and code repository tools
