About the position

The Cyber/Information Assurance Security Advisor (Level 3) position at Hurlburt Field, FL, involves providing critical cybersecurity administration and cyber assurance management to support the Command's Chief Information Security Officer. The role is essential for overseeing AFSOC-managed information systems that operate within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with IC Directive 503. The advisor will assist with the Command's Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Program, which includes incident response, monitoring, scanning, vulnerability reporting, and remediation efforts on the Command's ISR platforms, networks, and overall security postures. The employee will ensure that Automated Information Systems (AIS) operations and administration comply with Public Laws, Executive Orders, and the policies of various national-level agencies. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities and strong customer service skills to effectively support the mission of the Command.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity administration and cyber assurance management/documentation.
• Assist the Command's Chief Information Security Officer in overseeing AFSOC-managed information systems.
• Support the Command's Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Program.
• Conduct incident response and monitoring for cybersecurity threats.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and reporting on Command's ISR platforms and networks.
• Ensure compliance with Public Laws, Executive Orders, and national-level agency policies regarding AIS operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on cyber and information assurance experience within the last 12 years.
• Comprehension of the duties of a Cyber/Information Assurance Security Advisor.
• DODM 8140 IAM Level II certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of additional experience supporting Air Force and Special Operations Cyber and Information Assurance programs.
• Additional years of general experience in Cyber and Information Assurance.
