About the position

The Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) Content Developer at Peraton plays a crucial role in supporting the Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC)-Hawaii by creating realistic network environments and hands-on training for Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO). This position involves collaboration with military leadership and cyber allies to enhance operational frameworks and develop training scenarios that reflect real-world cyber operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing detailed plans for cyber operations support through collaboration with planners, operators, analysts, and military leadership.
  • Develop new approaches to improve organizational frameworks by coordinating and integrating staff processes.
  • Create realistic network environments and hands-on training for Cyber Operations (CO) within the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE).
  • Leverage background in CO (DODIN Operations, DCO, or OCO) to build realistic training scenarios and provide leadership perspectives on actions, plans, reporting, and briefing.
  • Manage VMWare infrastructure and multi-vendor layer 3 networking.
  • Develop new infrastructure or utilize existing ranges to meet scenario requirements.
  • Execute CO planning and content writing.
  • Develop PCTE Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) content for all DCO work roles.
  • Develop PCTE Job Qualification Standards (JQS) content at individual, crew, and ME levels for all work roles and Enterprise host configuration and management.
  • Design and configure enterprise domain/mail/web/SharePoint services.
  • Maintain and catalog content and licenses within PCTE.
  • Track content/platform issues and conduct necessary fix actions.
  • Participate in Cyber Protection Team (CPT) and Task Force training events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly required.
  • Experience with Virtual Machines (VMWare).
  • Experience building infrastructure enterprise networks on a small scale.
  • Experience as a developer with a strong focus on delivering cybersecurity visualizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting Indo-Pacific cyber operations.
  • Experience as a PCTE content developer with USCYBERCOM JPME II Level.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $112,000 - $179,000 based on experience and other factors.
