About the position

HII Mission Technologies, a division of HII - Cyber Electronic Warfare and Space (CEWS), is seeking a Cyberspace Policy Support 2 to join our team. This position is integral to supporting a new initiative aimed at unifying the direction of cyberspace operations, enhancing the Department of Defense's (DoD) cyberspace capabilities, and integrating and strengthening DoD's cyber expertise. Our cyber professionals are at the forefront of cyberspace operations, providing critical options and effects for our nation in a rapidly evolving threat landscape. As a Cyberspace Policy Support 2, you will be responsible for maintaining awareness and conducting thorough research and analysis related to strategy, policy, and doctrine for cyberspace operations. This includes working at various levels, including national, federal cyber centers, DoD, Service, and Combatant Command levels. You will develop recommendations and courses of action to address complex cybersecurity challenges, providing technical expertise on high-level projects. Your role will also involve analyzing, assessing, and developing future strategies, policies, and doctrines governing cyberspace operations, as well as writing and maintaining reports on departmental policy issues. Additionally, you will support interagency and coalition policy formulations on cyberspace issues, ensuring that all relevant authorities, concerns, and equities are accurately represented. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will be tasked with providing concise and actionable communications to senior officials, both in written and oral formats. You will also be involved in developing Memorandums of Understanding and Memorandums of Agreement as part of your responsibilities. This position is based in Fort Meade, MD, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, analysis, development, and coordination of strategy, policy, and doctrine for cyberspace operations.
  • Develop recommendations and courses of action to solve complex cybersecurity problems.
  • Provide technical expertise on executive-level projects, analyzing and developing future strategies, policies, and doctrines governing cyberspace operations.
  • Write reports on department-level policy issues and maintain associated repositories.
  • Support interagency and coalition policy formulations on cyberspace issues, ensuring accurate representation of authorities and concerns.
  • Provide concise, actionable communications to senior officials, both written and orally.
  • Develop Memorandums of Understanding and Memorandums of Agreement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cyber policy development.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
