About the position

The Cyber Research Analyst Intern position at Leidos is designed for students currently enrolled in a Cyber Security degree program. This internship will provide intelligence support for various operations, including contingency operations and strategic engagement policy. The intern will engage in monitoring and analyzing political, military, and economic developments, focusing on both domestic and international threats.

Responsibilities

• Provide intelligence support for contingency operations and operational-level planning.
• Monitor and analyze strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments.
• Work on day-to-day objectives with limited impact beyond the scope of own work area or project team.
• Solve routine technical problems following established procedures and policies.
• Develop products, solutions, and processes using basic principles and concepts within the technical specialty.
• Communicate with peers to explain facts and basic analysis related to the area.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent, and currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at the Junior/Senior level in a Cyber Security Degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with Polygraph.
• US Citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

• Enthusiasm and an interest in contributing to important operational projects.
• Some experience with Linux, Networking, and Cyber concepts.
• Some development experience with programming languages such as assembly, C, C++, Java, Python, Golang, or Rust.
• A strong interest in understanding how things work at a fundamental level.
