About the position

The Cyber Security Advisor at Deepwatch plays a crucial role in enhancing customer security programs by providing expert guidance and accountability. This position involves evaluating security technologies, developing improvement roadmaps, and acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of security-related requests. The advisor will leverage their technical expertise to deliver actionable recommendations and drive positive security outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer security technologies for improvement opportunities
  • Develop roadmaps to increase customer cyber maturity
  • Assist customers in understanding and utilizing intelligence by delivering briefings
  • Act as the customer-facing liaison to review requests and facilitate discussions
  • Coordinate and ensure appropriate resolution of customer requests
  • Keep up-to-date with information security news, techniques, and trends
  • Provide guidance on security best practices
  • Respond to and execute internal and external requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team on technical requests
  • Partner cross-functionally with other cyber operations teams
  • Intercept issues related to service continuity
  • Attend customer and internal meetings and provide technical advisement
  • Contribute to the creation and/or maintenance of investigation reports and executive briefings

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a technical role within Cyber Security Operations
  • Ability to work directly with customers
  • Incident response experience, preferably with MSSP
  • Skilled in prioritization of resources and organization of deliverables
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, Ticketing Systems, and Threat Intelligence platforms
  • Familiarity with Operating Systems and Networks
  • Understanding of modern EDR, email security, and cloud identity platforms
  • Ability to discuss security issues with technical and leadership audiences
  • Certifications such as SANS, EC-Council, CompTIA Net+, Sec+, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CySA or equivalent
  • Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
