About the position

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The Cyber Security Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our organization's information systems and networks, particularly for unique customer projects and programs that require a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. In this role, the Cyber Security Analyst will utilize data collected from various cyber defense tools, such as IDS alerts, firewalls, and network traffic logs, to analyze events within our environments. The analyst will interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies in accordance with established computer network directives. This includes initiating responses and reporting discovered events. The position requires evaluating, testing, recommending, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities also include identifying security risks and exposures, determining the causes of security violations, and suggesting procedures to prevent future incidents. The Cyber Security Analyst will develop techniques for conducting risk assessments and compliance audits, evaluate hardware and software for security impacts, and investigate security incidents such as intrusions or frauds. Additionally, the analyst will provide advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel and may serve as a team or task leader, although this is not a people management role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity.
