About the position

As a Cyber Security Analyst Apprentice at IBM, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on security solutions tailored to their business needs. This position involves working in the Security Operations Center, where you will apply your technical skills to monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats, ensuring the protection of client systems and data. The apprenticeship is designed to provide hands-on experience and training, culminating in a nationally-recognized credential from the Department of Labor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and audit client systems to ensure protection of systems, information resources, and data.
• Track and analyze networks/systems for potential security violations and respond to incidents.
• Investigate potential security violations and report findings accordingly.
• Perform continuous monitoring duties such as vulnerability assessments and event analysis.
• Conduct incident/event investigation and analysis, testing security products to detect weaknesses.
• Assess and detect network vulnerabilities.
• Maintain security system infrastructure and awareness of cyber trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Install, configure, deploy, integrate, operate, and maintain security toolsets.
