About the position

Titan Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced and self-directed Cyber Security Analyst to support the Army Data and Analytics Platform contract in Newport News, VA. In this role, you will be integral to assisting the Army with a comprehensive range of program and product management, administration, financial oversight, technical support, and business transformation initiatives. As a Cyber Security Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats and incidents affecting our organization's network and systems. You will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity best practices and tools to conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, anomalies, and suspicious activities. Your duties will include identifying vulnerabilities within our systems, recommending security enhancements, and implementing defensive measures to protect our critical assets. Collaboration with other security professionals and stakeholders will be essential as you develop and implement proactive strategies aimed at mitigating cyber risks. You will be responsible for receiving and generating information system security alerts, advisories, and directives for designated external organizations, ensuring that our information environments, networks, and systems are secure. In addition, you will perform cyber incident triage, determining the scope, urgency, and potential impact of incidents, identifying specific vulnerabilities, and making recommendations for expeditious remediation. You will track cyber actions from initial detection through to final resolution, analyze and assess damage to data and infrastructure, and perform trend analysis and reporting to inform future security strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats and incidents within the organization's network and systems.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, anomalies, and suspicious activities.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements to safeguard critical assets.
  • Implement defensive measures to protect the organization's information environments, networks, and systems.
  • Receive and generate information system security alerts, advisories, and directives for designated external organizations.
  • Perform cyber incident triage, determining scope, urgency, and potential impact of incidents.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity.
  • CNDSP-IR (GCIH, CSIH, or CEH) certification required.
  • IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification required.
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
