About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst (Expert) position at Amentum involves providing critical support to the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect organizational data and information, while also identifying and resolving vulnerabilities within systems. The analyst will work closely with cybersecurity engineers and government project leads to enhance security protocols and respond to cybersecurity incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and maintain an organization's data and information security.
• Identify vulnerabilities within systems and resolve them.
• Respond to cybersecurity breaches, such as hacking incidents.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers to improve systems based on feedback.
• Identify and fix vulnerabilities within existing security systems.
• Perform penetration tests or work with penetration testers to assess security issues.
• Develop organization-wide security measures and document known breaches.
• Conduct audits to determine security violations or vulnerabilities.
• Implement security controls and upgrade networks to align with best practices.
• Research, test, and implement new security technologies.
• Develop firewalls for network infrastructure and manage user privileges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and evaluating complex computer-based systems related to Cryptographic Modernization technologies.
• Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance required.
• Certifications: Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Past experience working in C5ISR and CSIA.
