About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of Precision Castparts Corp. This position involves identifying potential security risks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in cybersecurity principles and technologies, along with basic analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning in the cybersecurity field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing alongside the PCC IT Security team.
  • Support the analysis of security data and reports to identify and respond to security incidents, breaches, and other cybersecurity threats.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard systems and data.
  • Participate in security awareness training and education programs to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other teams to implement and maintain security controls, technologies, and best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating new cybersecurity technologies and trends to ensure an effective security posture.
  • Provide technical assistance on security-related issues, including incident response and security architecture.
  • Manage outbound equipment shipments for the Division IT group.
  • Support front line support tasks for users, such as password resets and updating proxy systems.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an educational equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years' experience providing administrative support in a technical environment.
  • 2 years' experience in Cyber Security.
  • Experience in working with information security or other relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and techniques to expose and correct security flaws.
  • Broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDPs.
  • Ability to identify and spotlight vulnerabilities on on-premises and remote networks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated prioritization, planning, and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SIEM tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in cybersecurity.
