About the position

Abacus Technology is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to support the government in managing security policies at Picatinny Arsenal. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the integrity and security of the installation's cyber environment. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation of all network user accounts, ensuring that all requests and actions are processed accurately and efficiently. This role involves a significant focus on compliance, as the analyst will maintain and monitor cyber security training records, verifying and validating these records to ensure adherence to established standards. Weekly reports on cyber security training and certification status will be prepared, along with support for compliance reporting to higher headquarters. The analyst will also play a key role in supporting the Department of Defense's Risk Management Framework (RMF) program and the Cybersecurity Inspection Program, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed across the installation. In addition to these responsibilities, the Cyber Security Analyst will be tasked with identifying and reporting potential cyber security issues to the government, thereby contributing to the overall security posture of the installation. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring compliance with cyber security policies and procedures, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel. The analyst will be expected to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the Department of Defense and Army Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements and processes, including RMF and eMASS. Knowledge of the application and evaluation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for supported IT systems is also essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills, along with strong oral and written communication abilities. Customer service skills are paramount, as the analyst will interact with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of cyber security measures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all network user account documentation is complete and accurate for the installation unit/organizations when processing account requests and other actions.
  • Maintain and monitor the cyber security training records; verify, validate, and monitor the records for compliance.
  • Provide weekly reports for cyber security training and certification status; support for all areas of cyber security compliance reporting for higher headquarters; prepare and/or submit cyber security reports.
  • Support the Government with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) program and the Cybersecurity Inspection Program.
  • Monitor compliance with cyber security policies and procedures across the installation.
  • Identify and report potential cyber security issues to the Government.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in information and cyber security.
  • Must be Security+ CE certified.
  • Experience with ACAS, operating and administering HBSS, implementing RMF, and Continuous Monitoring Risk Score (CMRS).
  • Knowledge and experience communicating cyber security concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Able to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation.
  • Knowledge of DoD and Army A&A requirements and processes, including RMF and eMASS.
  • Knowledge in application and evaluation of DISA STIGs for supported IT.
  • Possess excellent technical writing, critical thinking/analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
