About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst III position at Strategic Systems Inc. is a contract role focused on protecting the organization's cyber assets. The analyst will work closely with Cyber Security teams and various business units to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to implement effective information protection strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of cyber security compliance and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) between Cyber Security Compliance, IT, and other business units in developing policies, standards, and frameworks related to compliance requirements.
  • Support compliance with NERC CIP, protecting the Bulk Electric System.
  • Follow risk remediation protocols to mitigate issues, account for risks, and track exceptions according to organizational frameworks and standards.
  • Educate stakeholders on Cyber Security Compliance-related matters to enhance awareness and improve culture.
  • Interpret new and modified regulatory standards and collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain compliance programs.
  • Oversee ongoing compliance, evidence collection, and audit support by business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Corporate Compliance, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in cyber/information security is preferred.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP standards is a plus.
  • Ability to identify and assess the severity and potential impact of risks and communicate findings effectively.
  • Effective communication skills for creating and delivering reports, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Familiarity with web-based GRC tools (e.g., ServiceNow IRM and GRC) and related compliance processes is a plus.
  • Previous compliance audit experience is a plus.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities with the ability to weigh costs and benefits of potential actions.
