About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst position at Summit Technical Solutions involves providing system protection and network defense support for the Command Information Management Systems (CIMS III) contract. The role requires conducting risk assessments, monitoring cybersecurity events, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive information and systems. The analyst will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to a world-class team focused on maintaining high cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for RMF system reviews.
• Monitor and analyze firewall rule events, intrusion prevention system events, data loss prevention system events, antivirus events, and host-based security events.
• Prepare security reports for regulatory agencies as needed.
• Perform regular management and maintenance of network vulnerability scanning tools and other cybersecurity tools.
• Participate in response to verified cyber-attacks and handle classified material incidents.
• Complete regular situational awareness reports and daily reports.
• Provide input/artifacts as part of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process including reviews and accreditations.
• Analyze and assist in the application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs).
• Support the definition and application of the appropriate CIMS III program security posture.
• Provide guidance on vulnerability and malware remediation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of related experience with a Master's degree
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
• Security+ CE or other equivalent IAT Level II certification
