About The Position
As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at ManTech, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation's cyber infrastructure. This position is based in the Aurora, CO area and requires a motivated individual who is career-oriented and customer-focused. You will be responsible for detecting, identifying, and reporting potential cyber-attacks, intrusions, and anomalous activities. Your expertise will be essential in characterizing and analyzing network traffic and system data to identify threats to our resources. You will also perform security event and incident correlation using information gathered from various sources within the enterprise, ensuring that we maintain a robust security posture. In this role, you will conduct cyber incident triage, determining the scope, urgency, and potential impact of incidents. You will identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations for remediation, tracking and documenting incidents from initial detection through to final resolution. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you assess damage to data and infrastructure resulting from cyber incidents and perform trend analysis and reporting to inform future security strategies. This position requires a commitment to 24x7 shift work, typically following a 4/10 shift schedule, with hours dependent on location. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, coordinate resources, and ensure that scheduled goals are met. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will interact with various levels of senior management and need to make informed decisions to resolve problems effectively. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be critical, especially when dealing with sudden shifts in project priorities.
