As a Cyber Security Analyst Senior at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Defense's mission to ensure national security. This position is part of a dedicated team that addresses some of the most complex technical challenges in the field of cybersecurity. You will be stationed at Langley AFB, Virginia, where you will contribute to the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission of the Air Force. Your primary responsibility will be to provide Cyber Monitoring and Defense across a global enterprise, specifically supporting the Air Forces' Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DOC). In this role, you will engage in near-real-time monitoring and analysis of both insider and external threats using advanced network security tools and custom scripts, adhering to the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 502. You will be tasked with prioritizing remediation efforts based on reliable threat intelligence and ensuring the security of the DCGS against various threats. Your responsibilities will also include implementing the Enterprise Audit Conceptual Framework as defined by the Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 500-27, generating comprehensive lists of auditable events, and providing risk determination recommendations to the Authorizing Official (AO). You will assess and report on cyber readiness, analyze trends, and provide key findings and recommendations to government program leads. Additionally, you will manage antivirus definition files, guide other units in responding to security events, and ensure compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and other governing directives. This position requires a proactive approach to network vulnerability scanning and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of mission operations.
